Hi all. I had my sleeve last Thurs the 19th. When I got home on Friday night, I weighed myself after clear liquid diet for 2 weeks and surgery. I am down 16 lbs. But, I've been at the same exact weight since. :/

I am following the doctor's diet to a T. I'm eating exactly what is written on the paper, plus all my vitamins/water, juice, etc.

Is this normal? This was my biggest fear.... that nothing would happen afterwards. :(

I actually gained about 8 pounds after surgery and it took more than a week to come off.  Because you are pumped so full of fluids at the hospital, it may take a bit of time to get going.  But, just keep following those directions and it will start coming off.  I'll be 7 months post op on Sunday and I've lost 101 lbs!!

it can take a few weeks for your body to get rid of all the fluids that are injected during surgery and the swelling

 drinking lots of liquids help

stick to your plan and the weight will come off

If you stick closely to your plan, it will work. It has to. But it's not a straight line. If the scale makes you crazy, weigh once a month.

Stay the course.
