Hey everyone!  I had my lap band removed and got sleeved on Monday!  I has been rough but I am starting to feel better.  I can't get fluids in the way I would like but I have been walking non stop.  Make room on the losers bench for me.

any suggestions for a gl who is 2 days post op?

Congratulations! Just remember to try and get plenty of water, little sips throughout the day. I couldn't drink my protein shakes until about 4 days post op. Dr. was more concerned abou****er. It does get better day by day. I also enjoyed sugar free popsicles.

Whoo hoo!  The real work has begun!

Keep walking - go a little farther or longer every day.  Keep sipping.  And take naps.  I took 2 naps a day for the first 10 days, then 1 nap a day the next week, and it made all the difference.

Congratulations!

First of all congratulations on your journey to healthiness and happiness.

My suggestions would be...

1) try a warm drink, sometimes different temperatures can help

2) SF jello and popsicles helped a lot

3) I was big on no sugar added carnation breakfast, taste pretty good and you get liquid/protein at the same time

4) I also found broth helps a lot (healthy choice broth strained is a good idea, just make sure it's a clear broth and not creamy)

Welcome to the losers bench!!
