I haven't lost a pound in over a week. Is it normal for the weight to come off reaaaaaal slow when you get close to your goal?

Yes!!!  I started off losing 2-3 pounds a week in the beginning and now it's down to 1-1.5 a week as I get close to my goal.  Hang in there...it's still coming off and you've done great so far!

How about 5 lbs in almost 2 months. Yes, it slows way down close to goal. I am below goal now, but I am still losing a little, slowly, but that's Ok.

How much more do you have to lose? It took me 10 or 11 weeks to lose my last 15 pounds.

May 2012 - went from 185 to 178.5

June 2012 - went from 178.5 to 173.5 (then went up 3.5 pounds during 10 days of travel)

July 1- 18, 2012 - went from 177 to 170.

What I ended up doing is following Frisco's old school advice to knock the last pounds off in May/June/July (except during my vacation when I allowed myself more freedom. I also swell like a mother whenever I fly, so I knew I would come back heavier, so I didn't sweat it). I went to a strict 800-900 calories per day, upped the hell out of the protein (100 grams +), cut the carbs back to

Sorry. Most of my post was cut off. I tried to go back and add to it, but it's just not cooperating.

You can totally knock this out. May take about 2 months, but completely doable. Hopefully, you got the gist of my post, but go hard core. 100+ grams of protein, under 30 grams carbs, drink water and water and more water. And if you can, up the exercise.
