I have had sugar-free ice cream. If you need a laxative it works wonders. Don't ever order it out.

are you sure? If it is ice cream,it has milk in it and milk has natural sugar.

The "no added sugar" ice cream contains sugar alcohols which can do a number on the digestive system. Anything labeled "sugar free" ( like candy ) or "no sugar added" like ice cream...are a total no-go for me. ( or..too much going, as the case may be! )

The bigger question is why are you eating ice cream this early out?  Didn't you JUST have surgery?  You have a short window of opportunity to lose weight and change how you look at food.  Ice cream will slow your weight loss.

It could be that you've become lactose intolerant.  I'm lactose intolerant and if I ate ice cream I would be VERY sick.

Exactly! Don't sabotage yourself. If you are eating ice cream early on it won't get any easier or better as time goes on. Stay away from that stuff! There are so many more healthful alternatives if you want something sweet. Protein pudding or greek yogurt are my go to treats. Ice cream is bad news.

Agree with other posters -- these do not seem to be things you should be eating yet.  I know some plans allow for eggs earlier than others, but I was on liquids for the first 3 weeks.  Make sure you aren't progressing too quickly.

I'd also recommend keeping empty calorie foods out of your plan for as long as you can.  Ice cream is a VERY bad habit to start b/c your sleeve will not give you any restriction with it.

Good luck!

Why are you eating ice cream?  Are eggs allowed on your plan 11 days post op?

My NUT told me that eggs can be tricky. She told me that some people can tolerate hard boiled eggs but not scrambled or poached but not hard boiled.

Dont get discouraged, you can always go back a phase for a couple days if needed.

OK folks, yes it was stupid, yes it was not in my plan yet.  The ice cream was mixed with a protein shake and was liquid.  The egg was scrambled and had cheese and then blended to liquid.

Yes it was stupid and not in my plan yet. But I needed to try something different so bored of just liquid.  My weight remained the same and other than it making me feel horrible I guess no harm done.

But I am back on my plan and doing ok again.

Thanks.
