Dumping?
I had a small scoop of ice cream last night which tasted great going down but for hours after I felt sick to death on the verge of vomiting and just felt terrible.
Today I whipped a scrambled egg into almost liquid and then after it felt the same.
Is this dumping?
Scared to try anything else (real food) I don't want to feel that way ever again.
I know all plans are different, but it seems kind of soon for regualar food. I know you had your surgery recently and I'm not sure how far along you are. I'm almost four months and ice cream and frozen yogurt are out of the question still. Fortunetly for me I have never had any problems with food and never felt ill after eating.

From what i understand (and have experienced a couple times), dumping is a blood sugar crash: too much sugar (or sometimes fat, for some reason) is introduced ("dumped") into the small intestine, causing blood sugar to rise quickly. In response, the body floods with insulin, which brings blood glucose down too far, too fast. Symptoms include profuse sweats and shakes, mostly, and kind-of a feeling like you're going to die any minute. Sometimes nausea. Anyone (even non-ops) can experience dumping, but it mostly happens to RNYers, who don't have a pylorus to regulate what goes into the small intestine and when.
IMO, what you experienced is either food intolerance or too much, too soon. (Even a small scoop of ice cream can be too much.) We've all BTDT. As a previous poster said, it does seem a bit early to be trying eggs or ice cream. At 11 days, I had just graduated from clear liquids to all liquids.
It's not dumping. True dumping only happens with sugar. It's not possible to dump on eggs.

I can't eat ice cream or frozen yogurt because it does not agree with my tummy yet. I am 1 month post op and I tried it at about 3 weeks in when my nut said I could have it (as long as it was sugar free). It was no good for me. Also tried eggs at 3 weeks and those didn't agree with me either. So I really think your stomach just isn't ready for what you are eating yet.
