I get pissed off sometimes with the lack of customer service from doctor's offices.  Most staff seem to lose sight of the fact that patients are actualy customers.

Last night I asked my wife if she had heard back from her surgeon's office.  She had questions about her psych exam and results of her endoscopy.  They found polyps and was wondering what effect that would have on her procedure.  She had called Tuesday and Wednesday and had left messages for her patient advocate.  No one returned her calls.   She had even sent an email with no response.  I looked online at their website and noticed an email was listed for her surgeon.

At 9:45 PM, I sent him a quick email stating I was disappointed to hear that her phone calls had not been returned.  Within 5 minutes, he responded and 5 minutes after that my wife got a call from the office manager.

It definitely made me feel better about her choosing him as a surgeon.   So thank you Dr Duperier with BMI of Texas in San Antonio.

As a small business owner I can assure you that it's true...you can't get good help these days.

She found out today that UHC has approved the surgery.  She just needs to pick a date.  Due to various commitments, we are looking at April 20th.  Then she has to decide sleeve or RNY.  She does have mild acid reflux otherwise I think she would choose the sleeve.  She has about 6 weeks to make up her mind.
