Cold before surgery?

Did anyone have a cold before surgery? I have surgery in 6 days, and I was so excited that I got away with not being sick and now 6 days before surgery I'm starting to feel a cold coming on, headache, my nose gets a little congested. :/ Is it possible to still have surgery. Any quick cold remedies!!! Thank you.

I had the same thing happen 10 days out. I started on Zicam immediately and it helped tremendously. It was cleared up before my surgery. Talk to your surgeon though.

I ended up getting bronchitis ten days before surgery. I was put on antibiotics and cough syrup and was fine before surgery.

aa long as you don't have a lot of chest congestion you should be fine but call your surgeon on Monday

I queried my surgeon on this as it was going around work. His reply was: as long as it's not in your chest with yellow/green discharge he was good to go.
