A sleeve issue?

I'm not looking for medical advice, just wondering if anyone has experienced this...

I'm going on 4 days of not really being able to eat anything and can barely drink anything - to the point that I've lost about 7 pounds since Tuesday.  Anything I've had to eat or drink has gone straight through me. I've had some sinus pressure/drainage so that could be part of it. I've also had a lot of stress this week - a good friend was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer this week (she's only 35!) and I'm having a thyroid nodule biopsy today. I know this is probably the culprit, but I've never been a "stressed so I can't eat" person before - generally it was the opposite. I'm also a generally pragmatic person and haven't been that worried about my thyroid issue, but my friend's cancer diagnosis has thrown me completely for a loop so now I'm feeling a little paranoid that something else is wrong.

I've had fluctuations with capacity, but I haven't experienced not being able to tolerate food basically at all. I've been concentrating on fluids but it's taken me about 2-3 hours to even drink a Premier protein shake. :( Anybody else have this happen?

How far out are you?

I recently lost my father and I have had a really hard time eating. In the past I would have turned to food when anyhing stressfull happen. I had no problems with drinking and I made sure I was hydrated since I knew I wasn't eating. I returned to work this week and being in routine had helped with the eating a bit. I still look as eating as a chore. I know stress and being upset is my culprit. Not sure if this helps or not.

Sorry to hear about your friends and good luck with your biopsy.

I'm 10 months post-op, so I know I'm totally healed and everything. It's not lack of desire to eat, it's that I physically can't take more than a bite before my stomach starts cramping and I've had pretty awful diarrhea (sorry, TMI). Even water feels really uncomfortable in my stomach. I realize it's most likely stress; it's just a new reaction to stress for me.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope things settle into a better routine for you!

Thanks for replying and for the good wishes. Hopefully once the biopsy is over, my stomach will settle a little.

The biopsy went fine. I should know something in about a week. I'm definitely feeling better now that it's over!

you might have a mild case of the flu , I would go see my pcp if I was you and if that does not solve the problem maybe your  surgeon

it could just be nerves but better to check
