So nervous... (off topic -- dating!)

I have been seeing this guy for the past few weeks and we have been having a really nice time together.  We just are able to talk about nothing and make each other laugh and have fun.  I have been super casual about it and not nervous much with him, but tonight I am.  I kind of want to make it an official / exclusive thing and I realized I have never brought that up with anyone before.  

It just kind of happened with my ex-husband -- one day I was like are you my boyfriend and his response was "well I sure hope so".  Aside from my ex-husband I have never really had a steady boyfriend -- that sounds super sad, but oh well.  

He is coming over tonight and bringing his puppy.  We are going to make dinner and watch "Better call Saul".  I'm nervous about bringing up the exclusivity thing, but I think it is an important thing to talk about.

Good luck Stacy!!! I absolutely agree that it is something you should talk about if it is the path that you are interested in this relationship going. I will send positive vibes that the conversation goes as you hope and your nerves subside. 

Sounds like he is into you.....so no need to be nervous!! I bet he will be very receptive to your conversation! It sounds like someone will be having a nice Valentines day too! Good luck and let us know!

Okay, in my book, you're already there. He's bringing a puppy over, you're watching  a movie in, .... it's already done! Saying it out loud will just make what already is official.

I definitely agree with being straightforward.  "I'm having a lot of fun with you and I was wondering if you wanted to date exclusively to see where this will go?"  The guys in my life certainly appreciate straightforwardness and I've seen so many Bad Things when people aren't on the same page in relationships.  Better to just get it out there.  

But still... really scary!  You can do this - you're a rockstar.  This will be a breeze compared to all that you've accomplished!!
