I'm 6 months out and still weigh just about everything at home on my food scale. For liquids I use measuring cups and for things like meat and cheese slices (pre-portioned items) I go off the nutritional info on the packaging, but still weigh it to ensure correctness.

I weighed everything religiously until I was about 7 months out. I haven't used my scale since then. I'm like 11 months out now and I'm just eyeballing everything, but I kinda feel like I'm slacking off. For you, I'd say to weigh everything just to be sure you aren't damaging your sleeve. It only takes two seconds if you have a scale right in the kitchen :)

I will be a year out next week and I STILL weigh and log everything I consume every day.  I have a mini scale in my purse that I drag with me to restaurants/friends homes.  I refuse to "eyeball" anything.  While I am very, very good at eyeballing now, it is extremely important to me to always be precise in what I consume...whether I am at home or out at a restaurant/home of a friend. I also consistently under eat my sleeve.

I weigh my dense protein on a food scale.  But I also make a lot of casseroles and mixed dishes, and then I calculate the protein, carbs and calories per serving and then divide the casserole into that number of servings.  Those I don't weigh.  Also, I don't weigh my healthy veggies.  I just determine the veggie serving size by eye, but healthy, low carb veggies don't have a lot of calories so its not so critical.

I'm 18 months out and I am in maintenance and I'm still weighing my food.

I mostly weigh everything by measuring cups ... and some things I can eyeball now but 99% of the time I do measure! ! :-)

I eyeballed things, myself.  A good comparison for measure when you're eating meat is a deck of cards is just about 3oz.

I still weigh everything at home religiously (yes, even vegetables), or enter a recipe into My Fitness Pal to calculate my intake.  I only stopped bringing my portable scale to restaurants a few weeks ago once I hit goal.  I'm nearly one year out.  Good luck!

Hi: No I do not weigh my food. I can only eat about 1 to 2 oz. your new stomach will let you know when to stop and you need to stop if not you will pay for it later.

Have fun.

Liquids, its easier to measure in measuring cups.  Solids go on the scale.

I still use my scale regularly at home, because I want to keep reminding myself of portion sizes so I don't eat too much when I'm out.  Plus, it reminds everyone else in the house that I'm still being accountable.
