I miss sandwiches...
I missed them early out, but honestly not that much anymore. I find that a lettuce wrap works for me. Or just grilling lunch meet wrapped around cheese is great.
I have found that I enjoy meat so much more than I used to. Carbs are more of a texture thing than a taste thing. It took me a while to get to where I don't miss bread. I miss sweets -- that hasn't gone away.
Good luck!
I miss pizza! Funny I was never a big pizza eater, once a month at the most but now I have been craving one, all those damn commercials! I know i will eventually be able to have 1 slice now and then of a healthier version of pizza.
5 years of waiting and I finally have my sleeve!!!!

I thought I missed pizza too...until I tried it. And I gave it more than a few shots. But it really isn't worth it anymore. I can barely eat that much cuz the crust fills me up too much. And just eating the toppings off of it isn't real satisfying. And since my husband had the surgery too we can't begin to finish a normal size pizza. We just don't even do it anymore.
I didn't have bread until I reached goal. Now I have it in sandwiches fairly often. It's really just a meat delivery vehicle. I don't find that bread in a sandwich causes cravings for anything.
I use the Sarah Lee 45 calories whole grain bread.

I remember when I had the band 9 years ago, I really craved things with bread (pb&j sandwhich, turkey sandwhich, burger). Prior to surgery, I never even touched the stuff so I was sooo confused as to why I was craving something I rarely even ate. I think for me it was mental because I knew that I couldn't have it. In fact, I wasn't able to have a bite of a sandwhich until over 2 years out. I could only handle 1-3 bites, and I remember taking a bite and feeling pure bliss sweep over me. Crazy! Lol
