Trader Joe's sells these beef and pork snack sticks. They're like a fancy Slim Jim. I always have a few in my purse. I also like Baby Bel cheeses. Trader Joe's also sells mini brie bites that I love. I also pack little containers of cold cuts and salami.

My emergency protein kit has peanut/almond butter pouches, tuna pouches, and some crunchy bean snacks.  And jerky sometimes.

Calorie-wise the natural stuff isn't better for you, but it's better for you ingredient-wise because you're not putting processed crap into your body.

look at the ingredients- all natural doesn't mean anything.

i buy peanut butter that has peanuts as the only ingredient. no junk added.

some organic or 'natural' peanut butter still adds oils, salts, etc to it.

Sugar is natural, so is oil.  They can also be organic.  Natural label doesn't mean no sugar and oil, it means no processed crap and preservatives.  Nothing that's not real food.  You still have to be label vigilant to make sure you're not getting ingredients (even natural ones) that you don't want to be eating.

The label natural means basically nothing.
