LOL thanks guys.  I didn't think these were that visually appealing at all.  I just love the simplicity of not needing to wondering "what's for dinner"  I can get home and 10 minutes later have some protein & veg ready.

Stacy, thanks SO MUCH for posting these recipes!  I've never been a very motivated cook, but these look like good sleeve recipes that I would actually eat, and the bonus being that hubby will enjoy them too.  Thanks again! :)

Something I've made twice in the last couple weeks and am really enjoying--Beer/Wine Pot Roast.

  • 2lbs chuck roast
  • 1c beer
  • 1c red wine
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 bag frozen pearl onions

Ideally, one would dredge the roast in a mixture of salt/pepper/flour, but I have been skipping that because I don't want to use flour. So I've just been placing the defrosted or frozen roast in the slow cooker, pouring in the wine and beer (and I suppose you could add anything else you wanted in the way of herbs and spices), adding salt and pepper, adding the bag of frozen pearl onions, and setting the slow cooker on either high (for 4-5 hours) or low (for 8-10 hours).

Easy peasy, and VERY yummy. You could also use a pork tenderloin.
