im sorry you find all of this inconceivable...but, it is possible for others to have differing opinions then yours...this is a place for discussion and learning and finding our way..

It's not a matter of differing opinions-it's a matter of developing an eating disorder! Helping others avoid an eating disorder and all the attendant problems is solid advice, not just a stupid hand pat of fake support.

You could end up like a friend of mine.

She has had two WLS and still has not learned how to eat.  She will do just what you are questioning.  She will eat anything and everything.  Chew, chew, chew, then spit.  Or if she is feeling real stupid that day she will again eat what ever she wants, chew, swallow and then go throw up.  She doesn't want to regain her weight again so she has developed a great eating disorder that is screwing up her health.  Her labs suck big time because she doesn't take her vitamins daily and she's not eating, but she sure does love her tequila.

What you're describing is another form of disordered eating so it should be avoided. If we want to be successful, we must deal with our current dysfunctions and be careful not to add new ones.

Please don't start this.  It's hard to stop using food for comfort and pleasure but it will get easier if you can successfully navigate these early weeks. Take care.
