I've never been worried about dietary fat - it's important for our bodies, skin, organs, and gallbladder.  But during the liquid diet post-op, my main focus was hydration and just getting enough into my body to prevent dehydration.

I know this was not the best.....but....I took those small packages of instant potato.... made them thin to soup consistency.  They came in a lot of different flavors....It was like eating potato soup and I love potato soup!!!  It was so refreshing,

I'm 9 days from surgery but I bought a few things as I will be on full liquids as soo as I get home. There are soooo many options now. I bought some of the Simply Balanced soups at Target (they come in a box) and I will have those. I'll also get some of the Panera Broccoli Cheddar next week (My BJ's has it in the refrigerated section) and I'll purée and strain the hell out of it!

My regular grocery store (Stop & Shop) had tons of fancy soup broths too!

Best of luck!
