day 2 of 2 week preop diet..
Nicki, I don't have anything encouraging to say, but I think I will be in the same boat as you starting next week and it is making me nervous...
But I figure others have made it through, so shall I :) I have already warned family and coworkers that I may be a tad grumpy next week and the week after, so beware!

For me, the first 3-4 days SUCKED, and then it was pretty smooth sailing from there on out. You can do it!

You can do it. Tomorrow is the last day for my pre-op diet as my VSG is scheduled this Friday. The first 3 days were rough but it got easier after that, even the last 2 days doing nothing but clear liquids hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Keep focused on the reason you're doing this in the first place. I'm told the pre-op diet is the worst part of the whole process.
Most people say they start feeling okay with the pre-op diet on day 3-4. For me it was day 6 when things drastically improved. You can do it! I don't feel like it was starting over after surgery. You remain on the liquids from pre-op but are even less interested in eating, so I found it much easier. Best wishes! You got it!!
