Recovery time
I live alone also but I had my sister stay with me for a few days. Now that I look back I could've handled it on my own but it was nice to have someone with me. This surgery is a big one so to have someone by your side at least for a few days is a plus! I went to work 3wks post op but I was still having some pain. Now I'm 5wks post op and I'm feeling great. Good luck with you!
I didn't really need anyone home with me although my husband was there the day I came home from the hospital. He went to work the next day and was perfectly fine on my own. Now, they kept me in the hospital for two nights. If I'd come home sooner I might have appreciated having someone else there the first day to fetch-and-carry for me. But really, it's best if you are getting up and moving around as much as possible.
Good luck to you!
I had a 2 night hospital stay, came home on a Sunday afternoon and was on my own the following day.

Well I for one would say if you have the option of help ....WHY NOT???? you just went thru major surgery!!!
My surgery was Friday, didn't do so well and had to stay another day, I was released on Monday. My hubby took off the few days to be with me. I found it nice to have someone around, you WILL be sore. My hubby was/is awesome... I am one of those who have no desire to eat... he has been a little timer always reminding me... it's very touching and cute!! So with that I would say maybe a day or two? I am under restrictions NOT to lift anything heavier than a gallon of mil****il recheck next week, I am 5 days out.
Good Luck
