I called my insurance company
I could not wait any longer. So I called my insurance company and they said I was approved for the gastric sleeve. It has only been two weeks. I want to call my surgeons office but don't want to pu**** I was in the computer approved. I feel like I am still waiting. I am so thankful I have lost 61 lbs in 6 month. Would you call the surgeons office or wait?
-Katie
You should pu**** It's your health and your body - you're your own best advocate.

Katie I was like you couldn't wait... so I called the second I got off the phone with the insurance company .. remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil !!! :-) the sooner you get in touch with them the sooner they fit you in.... It will also show them how badly you want this... that's my way of thinking anyway !!! :-)

Definitely call the surgeons office! It's hard waiting already but then to know you are approved?? Let them know how serious you are about taking on this new chapter in your life. Sometimes, the squeeky hinge gets the oil and in this case, the one calling gets the surgery date!
yes, definitely call. Ask about scheduling your surgery. I'd have no compunctions about calling right away.
