Horrible acid reflux

Prescription strength PPI is the only thing that worked for me.  Don't let this go on, get something for it now.  Excess acid can cause serious problems in your stomach and, untreated, can contribute to esophageal cancer.  Not trying to fear monger but just don't want you to minimize the seriousness of it.  

I had to try 3 different things before we hit on one that worked and that I wasn't allergic to.  I take 20 mg. of Protonix a day, down from 40 mg. that I was taking earlier out.  Hope to wean off it someday.  We'll see :-)
