Walk, Walk, Walk and sip, sip, sip. I was so scared of getting dehydrated and the gas pain. I was out of that bed and around the hospital that afternoon. I crunched ice and took sips of water constantly.

After that first day, the cold was not my firend. It caused my stomach to gurgle more then normal (our new normal, you will find out) I needed my liquids room temp for a long time after. So be prepared to experiment on what works for you. Do NOT give up, you will find your way!!!!

Best of Luck!!!!

Thank you all for your love and support! Surgery went great! I've walked twice and slept a lot. I was prepared for the gas pains, but not for the difficulty breathing. Water, tea and broth have been fed to me but its super hard to figure out how much/how often etc. tge hardear part all  is trying not to swallow air. That gives me horrendous hiccups, which feels like soneone stabbing you in the diaphragm. It will be better tomorrow, thats at least thats what everyone says.
