psych eval
Mine was easy. I wouldn't worry about it. She asked questions about my support system at home etc then the questionnaire was all common sense questions. It asks things like, "Do you hear voices? Do you feel like hurting yourself?"

Mine was very easy. My psychiatrist whom I've known for 10 years did it, and since I only see her for medication assessment these days, it was a pleasure to get to spend some time with her.
We talked about why I had decided to have surgery at this point, how that decision fit into my ongoing analysis, how I was feeling about making the decision, was I well informed about the procedure, who was going to be performing the surgery, and what my support plan was immediately following surgery. In addition, we talked about what I expected to happen post-surgery.
Easy-peasy.
Mine was an hour interview where she asked about my family history, my life, my kids, my job. I think she was looking for areas of stress and how I managed them. It was a piece of cake.
Good luck with yours. You'll do great.

First I sat down with the psychologist he asked me questions about my weight journey and what lead me to WLS. Asked me he type of surgery I was looking at having. What the pros and cons were for having the surgery. Asked about my medical history. About my job. If I had support from my PCP. He was rather funny. We talked about his surgery on his arm. Some other patients of his who had WLS. Of course no names or whatever. Then lastly I took the 3 hr, 560 questions MMPI. Basically checks you for mental and personality disorders. Answer honestly because the same questions will be asked multiple times in various ways. Then I left. That was July 8th. By this morning my surgeon had the letter for clearance. Pretty painless if you don't mind sitting for 3 hrs.
I had mine last month. I completed a questionaire asking how I felt about different things. The doctor asked me if ihad a support system and if I knew about the surgery process and if I knew what to do after the surgery. It lasted all of 1/2 hour including wait time.
