I am a little discouraged that I haven't lost more I keep seeing others on here that had surgery at the same time and have lost so much more then me. sorry for wineing just feeling a little fragile today. Thanks for listening.

Sorry about your bad day.  I think you should look at not turning to food as a big victory...if you're anything like me that probably wasn't the case prior to the VSG journey.  So even if your day was 80% blah, it was 20% WIN.   Also, I think you should look at body weight percentage lost if you're getting discouraged on the weight loss... you may not be losing the same amounts as people who start higher, but you still may be losing at the same rate.  And of course, comparing yourself to others is quick path to madness!

I hope tomorrow gets better!

Sorry to hear you had a bad day. I hope tomorrow is better. This process is definitely an emotional rollercoaster. Throwing a crappy day into the mix doesn't help. Good Jodi on not turning to food as a release. If you are anything like the old me that is the first thing I would have done.

I have been discouraged also. I haven't lost anything in what seems like forever. Reality is around three weeks. Good news is without the sleeve I would have sabotaged myself after not losing for that long.  Just keep to your plan and telling yourself it will happen. Easier said than done I KNOW!!

Dont apologize for venting. It is better to vent than hold it in.  It is somewhat therapeutic to vent to people going through the same experience.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow. It's a new day.

We all have bad days and some days you just need a big hug

You have support here and can feel free to whine away.  Don't get discouraged.  I felt like I was a slow loser too but then realized that I lost exactly at the rate I was supposed to.  Now that your body is able to work it knows what it is doing.  Give it a chance ;)  It's getting used to being in control again.

God bless, Michelle

Celebrate the freedom from food!  do a victory dance, even if only mentally, to celebrate.  latch onto that joy!  good job

Comparing your weight loss to that of others is totally a path to madness.  It's a hard one to avoid, but we should still try!
