Fast & Easy Option when everything is closed!!! (PIC)

So I travel a lot.  Last night I got into PA late and everything was closed accept the grocery store and fast food.  I really wanted something warm, meaty and on plan for dinner.  I found this!!

It wasn't amazing.  But it was on plan (150 calories, 15 grams of protein) and filling.  I was really looking forward to a chipotle salad, but it was 10:30 and they closed at 10 :(

Thanks for sharing this!!  Every time I look in the frozen food aisle I can't find any meals with no carbs other than Atkins.  I don't eat frozen food that often but it's good to know about this one.  Thanks again.

thanks for this!  I travel a ton for work and am only 6 weeks out and its been a big worry of mine how i will deal in certain situations.  This is a great option and usually there is a microwave accessible in the hotels!

I've had those Lean Cuisines in a pinch, very good choice!

Another thing I do when traveling is always pack ZipLock freezer bags (the thick ones)

Great for packing leftovers from restaurant meals and keeping in the hotel room refer if your room has one.

If the room doesn't have a micro, I've been known to warm the food up in the bathroom sink, place baggie of food in ho****er for a while.

During WL I also traveled with a "Presto burger"(I think that's the name) an electric single burger patty cooker. Cooks a burger in a minute or so.

That and a bag salad kit and I was golden.

I keep salt and pepper and plastic utensils in my shaving bag.

I refer to life on the road as "Combat Eating"......

Frisco,

I also travel with freezer ziplock bags to throw left over restaurant meals in.  But, I thought I was the only one who has reheated food in a hotel bathroom sink. Good to know I am in good company.

I always have a couple of packets of tuna in my travel bag (along with a Mrs. Dash bottle of some flavoring) and plastic silverware.  I can throw it together to eat if it's super late when I get in and I can't get to real food.

It keeps me on plan...just because I'm traveling doesn't mean I get a free pass at eating something that isn't going to keep me moving forward on my weight loss.  :)

Well..... I wasn't going to admit this in public......

I have on occasion..... been known to throw the baggie into hot bath water..... and enjoy my meal eating from the baggie while soaking in the tub......

Probably an acceptable "guy thing" practice !

LOVE IT!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

After my band surgery I had a small tote bag that I could keep in the car that had plastic utensils, small paper plates, collapsable cup, salt & pepper and another plastic zip bag with condiments ketchup, mustard, coffee, tea and misc. other packaged goodies. That way when I was out and about I could always stop at a grocery store or deli and pick up ham and cheese for roll ups if nothing else. It would have worked to grab and throw in for travel too. Gotta plan ahead for success!
