Hi Stephen,

I am glad you posted and allowed us to be part of your journey.  I was a lightweight, only had a little under 100 pounds to lose and I lost them in about 6.5 months.  Jimbo was with me in our support group and he is a heavyweight with a 300 pound loss.  He is a walking miracle to me (and a really nice guy).  He loves to support others on their journey, and although he doesn't post here much anymore, he would be a fantastic resource for you.  I know that he would make the time, he's just that kind of person.  Also, there is the BMI over 50 forum that might be helpful to you.  If there is ever anything we can do to help/support you, please let us know. We are all really pulling for your success.  Yes, I think it can be done with VSG but in truth, you might also want to look at DS which is a very powerful surgery.  Good luck to you.

Welcome to the community and yay for your upcoming surgery!

The pre-op diet did screw with me, it's just such a change and a change from what everyone around me was doing.  But it gets easier and you'll be so happy on May 28th :)

For me it was the first 3 days that really, truly sucked.  And then toward the end of full liquids post-op I was getting really, just, well bored with liquids.  But now I'm 9 weeks out and life is more awesome than I ever thought it would be.  :D
