Baby steps is what has been working for me w/ my regain and I know you'll get back on track too.  And I learned from you to cook and portion out in advance.  This is something I haven't done much of lately but I plan on spending this Sunday cooking and freezing on plan food so I will always have something I can just grab in a pinch.  We all love you and are here for you, Alison!

As soon as I gave up on cooking and preparing food, things went downhill. It's 100% required for me soooo I'll be doing more of it.

This is an excellent start! You will make progress with those smaller changes...and it won't enable the rollercoaster that it can be if you get too hard core before you are ready. You are a smart girl, who knows how to get down to business, when the time is right for you. Having those quick to grab items makes such good sense. One thing that really helps me get the day started in a great direction (besides my protein coffee), is egg muffins. Have you tried them...if you like eggs? I mix up however many eggs, add in turkey crumbles or bacon, peppers, onions, whatever you like, sometimes cheese, etc. and bake them at 350 for 30 minutes in muffin tins. I keep them in the frig all week and just heat them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. It is a great out the door kind of breakfast. Just an idea.

I used to like off egg bites. I think I got tired of eggs and egg whites lol. Now I don't like to eat for 2-3 hours after I wake up so I drink a lot in the mornings and sometimes it's no good liquid calories which I need to STOP.

Hi hon. This made me cry. I'm so scared of where I am. Finally medicated out of the state I've been in where my only goal was staying out of the hospital. I can't think at all. Too much sedation. Uck. I can only do the tiny things way you are talking about. Thanks for putting it out there. 

 

So jealous of the folks who have met you!  Can only send a big hug from afar and the deep hope that thee will still be light at the end of the tunnel and not just a hole!  Xxxxx

Im right there with you - Im way too medicated. I hate not feeling like myself but at least Im sleeping through the night and not really depressed soooo I guess I'll take whatever I can get. My therapy sessions have become meaningless because I don't even have anything to talk about - I feel....lifeless. Now I just need to be a skinnier lifeless blob :)

Hey Alison,

I so admire your tenacity - but you've heard that from me before! Just keep faith in yourself. You know yourself better than anyone and I'm sure this one step at a time approach will be so much more productive than trying to do everything all at once.

You're right, we all have our food issues, whatever they may be. Clearly, you know how to lose weight. You just keep on working on those little things and one by one it will ALL fall into place.

You've inspired me to write some little goals of my own down tonight.
