Post op support group meetings

I am 1 year post op and have never been to a support group meeting!
A very close friend just had her VSG surgery last week and battling with head hunger issues and mourning foods. I'm trying to help as much as I can but feel very unqualified. We are looking for a group that meets in the Plano/McKinney/Allen area.
I know of the one at Baylor Plano but are there others?

Here are a couple of other options: (told to me by another member here)

There is one at Medical Center Plano:  Meets  2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, Bldg. 3 from 6 - 7.

There is one at Presbyterian Plano, also.  They meet the first Thursday of the month at 6.

Baylor Plano also has a weekly weight loss management group that meets on Thursdays at 5:30.  I attend this meeting and it has been really helpful in building the skills needed for success at any kind of weight loss.

I hope your friend is able to get the help she needs. 

I would contact your surgeon's office because they sometimes know of support groups.  I go to the one at our local hospital.  so you can check them out as well.

The hospital where i got my surgery has a monthly group.  Just went last week in fact.  Definately contact your hospital!
