WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! this is amazing.

what was youre pre-op weight after your pre-surgery diet?  and what meal plan are you following?  this is so inspirational!!

My highest recorded weight was 232.  Day of surgery I was 219.6 at 5'4.  As far as meal plan...I do what most of the successful vets preach...log everything in MFP, under 800 calories, 40g carbs, 10-12 glasses of water/decaf fluids, no soda, 65+ grams of protein (most days closer to 85-100). Been doing that since day 1 and the weight has melted right off.  I didn't hit any type of stall/plateau until 5 months out and consistently lost 1.5-3lbs a week...sometimes a little more, never less than 1.8.  I workout 6 days a week, and really focused on making this a lifestyle change...not just a "fad diet"

so impressive!!!  85-100 grams of protein a day while under 800 calories sounds difficult...

Believe it or not, it's really not that tough.  Every morning for breakfast I blend up a tasty protein smoothie with Dannon Light and Fit Greek Yogurt, 1.5-2 scoops of Optimum Nutrition Hydro Whey, crushed ice, and a cup of strawberries which packs 60-70 grams by itself!  I normally have deli meat and a Sargento skim string cheese for lunch, and then protein and 2 Tbls to 1/4 cup veggies for dinner.  I eat a lot of shrimp and scallops.  I eat very "boring" and most days my meals are the same, but I don't mind.  In my mind food has become fuel rather than the emotional crutch it used to be.  It's been very freeing!  I honestly never feel deprived, and I have splurged a few times (sons birthday party, family vacation, etc.). But never by too much.

Great idea for the morning drink - is it really 70 grams of protein??? How?

Hey Sara! The hydro whey is 30 grams of hydrolyzed whey isolate per scoop. I usually do 1.5-2 scoops, the light and fit Greek yogurt is 10 grams...so on 2 scoop days I start off right off the bat with 70 grams
