Well, time for a bucket list item. I go skate on practice ice tomorrow, and then enjoy an opening ceremony beach party. Thursday morning at about 11:20, I skate my technical program, Friday morning at about 9:30, I skate my artistic program, and at about 4:45, I skate with 3 others from my skating class in a comedy program. Then I get to go to a closing ice show. Now, I just need to stay upright, and like my friend Dianne told me, skate like nobody's watching.

I never thought I would be joining the ranks of competitive ice skaters, my sleeve has been such a gift. While this is a competition for recreational skaters, not elite, Olympic hopefuls, I still plan on having a good time and giving it my best effort. Win, lose, or fall on my a$$, a friend on another forum is so right, "to compete is to win. " So if I do it, I win. If the pics & video turn out, I'll post them in a few days.
