New protein bar: made with crickets
Hi,
What do you mean we eat bugs every day in our food products?????!!!!!!
Uneasy smiles :),

I like strange foods that most Americans wouldn't go near so depending on the other ingredients and the overall nutrition profiled, I would seriously consider them. If they are low in carbs and high in protein and taste, they might even become a go to food. I would look at them quite seriously.
Edit:
I just looked up the nutrition information. No, this would not work for me, but maybe this is a beginning of a trend.

Brave girl, not sure if I could do it. Though, John the Baptist ate locust and honey, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. :O)
“Not many of us are living at our best. We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains. The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence. What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb. What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.? JRM
I would try it for sure, BUT it is not a food that would have fit into my WL program.
I find it interesting that it's not really made with cricket flour, but the nut flour (almond) is enhanced with the ground Jamaican crickets, agave nectar, coconut flour, coconut flakes, etc..... lots of sugar carbs......
I would have to be starving to death to eat a bug.... And I have refused escargot in the past... No brain or tongue or stomach... Eating muscle is gross enough! I'm going to try to imagine, however, that all protein bars are made of bugs... Maybe that'll keep me a way from them for good!
Im going to think bug bits and rat poop next time I'm tempted to eat a processed food...
thanks for the disgusting visuals cause they really might help me out!!! Lol
