Two years today I had the VSG... 223 pounds lost.
LOVE IT! Love the honestly, love the success, love the perspective! Enjoy it!
“Not many of us are living at our best. We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains. The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence. What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb. What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.? JRM
Congrats! You are such a role model for weight loss, but also for showing strength of character during a time of extreme physical adversity. Kudos to you and my upmost respect for everything that you do and say to others going through this journey. Your journey is truly inspirational, and no, not everyone is as dedicated to the process, as you are.

At the risk of sounding cliche, you are truly amazing. I appreciate how open and real you are about your whole weight loss journey, and I look up to you and a select few of the other vets here and hope that after I cross over to the loser's bench that I can be as successful as you guys are.
I will be down in G'town in November for my university's homecoming. I'd love to meet up with you in ATX (if you're free) to thank you in person!
