NSV: Fitted clothes and buying online... (photo bragging)
Hahahahaha. My hubby is a HUGE dork. I'm guessing that our families would get along really well. Both of my kids are computer gaming little nerds too. We all are a bit on the dorky side. And that's okay. Hell, dorks will one day rule the world! :)

I found a study that said dorky kids end up being happier as adults :) I know it's true for me and the hubs. I bet our families would love each other. We have every single gaming system. It's absurd. I hope my little bean likes computer games bc she'll never have to even ask for them. To show you how dorky my hubs is - he was a beta tester for DND for YEARS. He only stopped when we had the bean bc, "I can't devote enough time to it anymore." It was like a second job for him. Hahahaha.
LOL, that's awesome. I think your kids are still pretty young right? Just wait... dork kids are pretty weird. About a year ago, my son kept asking for IP numbers and all kinds of technical stuff about the set up around here. My husband finally asked him "why" and he was setting up his own server for one of his games. LOL. Oh boy.
I'm not much of a gamer myself, but they all are. We have to limit the time they play because they get WAY sucked in.

My husband is living out his nerd dream. He got together with a few buddies that specialize in different fields and they are creating their own MMORPG, Embers of Caerus. It's very early in development, but it's very exciting.
You look amazing! What I appreciate most about your posts is that you focus on the positive. Life has its ups and downs, whether we are thin or overweight. Counting the blessings is the best way to live. Love your posts about enjoying life with your family and being able to feel comfortable in your own skin. But love the motivation your photos give to me and so many others too.
You rock that shirt!
“Not many of us are living at our best. We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains. The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence. What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb. What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.? JRM
One thing I think that everyone has to do is to learn to focus on the good parts. Quite honestly, if we dwell on the negative parts, we will drive ourselves completely ******g crazy. I see it here all the time, someone completely up in arms over a stall or obsessing about the extra blueberry they ate or something.
This is life. Life is dirty and messy. We can either spend our days trying to keep it clean or just make it presentable for company and enjoy the hidden messes. Me? I got better things to do than dwell on the **** Yes, I have my down days where I just want to wallow in it, but... you can't do that, ya know?
It's taken me a LONG freaking time to get here and I'm NOT going back.
Therapy FTW ;)

Living life to the fullest is the BEST PART. You are right, we all have our days, but moving past those days and just learning to love this life, that is priceless.
Therapy, seriously, is a huge part of this. Changing our mind, body and soul is a hard and long process. Letting go of the things we cannot change and finding ways to change the things we can, it is a life long process, but so worth the effort to try and figure it all out. Perfection is not the goal, perception is. Changing how we perceive this life. Let me tell you, I would rather be an overweight compassionate person than a skinny miserable one. So, since I do not want to be overweight again, too many blessings being thinner, I am going to strive to be a loving, compassionate, friendly, joyful thin person. Which means taking the focus off myself and learning the balance of taking care of me, all the while not thinking the world needs to revolve around me. Know what I mean? Delicate balance, that is for sure.
Enjoy the day!

Yup, it really is an important part. And I truly believe it's the most overlooked part in the bariatric world. So many people don't do the mental work that is inherently important to this whole thing.
Totally utterly agree.xoxo
