Since I use our dog's photo as my avatar, you'll see his picture when I post!  But, if you want to see more photos, I have a little dogblog (I was in a social media class, and had to set up a blog as part of the class), so I sometimes post our adventures to it!

The most recent is shots of him at Grandfather Mountain.

I love this post!  Furbabies are the best.  My Chewie, who I lovingly refer to as Monster, is a rescue from a kill shelter in Bastrop.  We got him three weeks after we had to put our last doggie down when the chemo & surgery didn't work.  I couldn't handle working from an entirely quiet house with no doggie under my feet, so Monster and I saved each other.  He's not the brightest dog, but he is so sweet, protective and independent.  Never had a dog so perfect for me - he's independent, not a cuddler, gets his 30 seconds of cuddles then he's done.  It's a source of frustration for my cuddly hubs, but I think he's perfect.  I knew from the moment I laid eyes on him that he was waiting for me.  I was the only one he trusted enough to go near him.  He wouldn't even let the volunteer get him out of the cage.  He's a sensitive soul, and I have a feeling he was abused.  He's not a fan of my loud, uncoordinated toddler, but he's good with her and protective.  I'm fiercely protective of him.  Don't let your dog act aggressive towards mine, or I will fight you and your dog.  I've gotten into screaming matches at Town Lake.  Chewie doesn't understand doggie aggression; he genuinely thinks all dogs want to play with him and sniff friendly butts.  Here's my teddy bear photo DSC00122.jpg

That's an awesome story and it sounds like he definitely got lucky with his forever home. I love how dogs just become such an integral part of our families. They listen without trying to "fix it" and they are always willing to give a cuddle when needed - even if just for a few seconds :)

That's it!  They listen without trying to fix it.  Everyone in my life is a fixer.  Monster just lets me hug him and gives me a little lick when I'm sad.  It's the best.

How wonderful seeing everyone's pets!

I'm trying to post pics, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it :( Hopefully this will work.

I have two cats. One is named Diamond. I adopted her 10 years ago. She weighs less than 6 lbs and has 3 legs. She also has an autoimmune disease, a heart condition and kidney disease. I do the best I can to keep her happy, and she is still sweet, and fiesty at times.

The other is Crystal. I have had her for about 7 years. She weighs 16 lbs and she is a goofball. Very cuddly.

This is them together. I wish I had a better photo on my phone.

These cats have been with me through a divorce, a move across the country, a broken engagement and a move back across the country. And many other things :) I consider them my family.

I'm late to the party, but thought I'd try my hand at posting a picture here of my beautiful cat Bailee.  All 20 pounds of him!  He is a huge cat who is naturally plump, despite not being overfed.  Even the vet agrees that there is nothing to be done.  So I know you folks will completely understand and see him for the beautiful pet that he is.

We adopted him almost a year ago from a family who had to give him up after spending his entire life of 9 years with them.  It was very sad for them and for Bailee, but I'm happy to report that he has adapted and we are all in love with each other.  He is a funny guy who brings my husband and I lots of smiles and laughs.

Hope the photo attempt works!  If not, you can see him in my Profile pics
