Complications
Hi OH family. I celebrated too soon! I was feeling good after surgery because my surgeon had given me steroids. I started throwing up every 1-2 hours and felt a knot in my esophagus. Come to find out, my sleeve was smaller than expected and I had obstruction. My options: do nothing and hope swelling goes down to allow fluids in, have a GI tube inserted thru my nose to release pressure while hoping swelling goes down and allows fluids in and last option is to operate again and get a bypass. I won't be going home tomorrow, don't know how long I am in at this point. I went with GI tube for now.
Ugh. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Sometimes life hands you lemons. Hang in there, be kind to yourself.
I would have gone with the tube too. Give it some time, rest and do your part. ((HUGS))
