Suggestion: Descriptive Subject Lines -- we can help you more

Hi guys,

Just a suggestion... a lot of us just glance through the main forum at the subject lines on things we can help with. For instance, if you have a question about diabetes but just type "I have a question" or "I need help", someone might not open it that could have helped you because you didn't say "Question about diabetes" or "Help with diabetes issue".

Or "Did this ever happen to you" VS "Anyone ever have upper right stomach pains?"... etc etc... you get the point.

Just a trend I've noticed lately. I'm guilty of it too, myself, sometimes. LOL, so this is a reminder for myself as well :)

GREAT IDEA!

I don't have time to read every thing here, so I skim the subject lines and skip those that aren't specific.

Also... There's a really good article I read recently on "How to ask for help in an Internet forum."  It's mostly about technology help, but a lot of the ideas would work here... I'll see if I can find and edit it.

Yep - I breeze right by the "What?" and the "Grrrr". "Ugh..." "TMI" (actually I hope people keep using this one because it really does help me weed out the crap - literally).

Great suggestion.

Here is a great example of a descriptive subject line by sleevegirl........

My right pinky toe is a brown color with black around the nail......Should I be concerned?

Pretty clear she has a "nasty toe" issue......and has been eating way to much dark chocolate......that high cocoa content goes straight to the pinky toe.....

One suggestion I have is to use a black, printed font.  I tend to skip over colorful script because now that I'm over 40 I have trouble reading it.
