Hospital Stay

Hey Everyone,

How long did you stay in the hospital? They say 1 night. I want to stay 2 to be on the safe side...

One night, and totally ready to go home the next day.  If you have any special problems, they'll keep you as long as necessary, but once you're up, walking, peeing, and able to drink, there's not much more they can do with you!

I paid for two but only stayed one. Believe me, you are much more comfortable at home.

I stayed total three nights, but could have went home after the second night. Depends on your progress, good luck to you.

They made me stay two nights but I wi**** had only been one.  I wasn't allowed to have anything to drin****il the last day when they finally did my swallow/leak test.  They also didn't take my drain out until I was ready to go home.   Everyone is different though.

One night and was so ready to leave.  Those beds are uncomfortable and I got tired of walking around in circles on the floor.

2 nights, wished it was zero. Uncomfortable, grumpy, in pain, just wanted to go home.

3 nights I had blood pressure issues

I stayed two nights. My doc automatically scheduled me to stay the two nights. I was nervous about going home because I was in a lot of pain, but it was fine. They sent me home with pain meds and it was good to be in my own bed.

I lived 2.5 hours away from the hospital I had my surgery at.  I stayed 3 and was glad I did.  I was really worried about getting in all my fluids on my own.
