Family at Six Flags today... (photo)
Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words (or 223 pounds!) LOL :)

I grew up in Charleston and spent several visits at Carowinds. I never could ride anything. Ya know, that's going to be one of my goals - to get back there now when we visit next time! Plus I think my kids would get a kick out of standing in both states at once (I know I did! LOL!)

I won't lie... getting on any ride you want and feeling great on it... it's the best feeling in the world.
Also, I made my husband yesterday point out people that were bigger than me while we were having lunch near a window, people watching. I know that sounds horrible and judgmental, but it wasn't at all. It was me trying to figure out what I truly look like. It helps sometimes to see myself as I am. It helps to hear, "No, you're shape is actually a lot like the woman in the green shirt - isn't she beautiful?".
The mind parts of this are hard sometimes, but doing stuff like going to amusement parks... it's priceless. My favorite thing yesterday was going on the Sky Screamer (very high swings) with my daughter and seeing her huge smile while flying over the park and her grabbing my hand and telling me it was her favorite ride. I nearly cried. I could have NEVER done that two years ago.
Stuff like that makes this whole thing worth it.
