My dr has a pretty strict protocol, but she wants NO LEAKS!  Her's is a 3-3-3 plan.  3 days clear, 3 weeks liquid, and 3 weeks soft.  oh and 3 days liquid pre-op.  I think it is all pretty doable.  Lapband dr had me on liquids (if I remember correctly) 3 weeks pre-op and 3 post.....

There sure are a lot more protein drinks to choose from now, than 6 years ago...

3 weeks liquids, then 3 weeks purée.

My surgeon as never had a leak, so I was happy follow his conservative, less risky approach.

I was on purees and soft foods 48 hrs out of surgery. My doctor uses the Cornell Weil plan which is a very fast progression plan. By three weeks I was on mostly normal food and definitely by 4 weeks very normal diet, still eating carefully but all foods apart from salad which came in at about three months I believe. Can'tremember now! Wow! And my surgeon also hasn't had a leak in 8 or 9 years now.

Just remember as you progress to the next step, if your new stomach is not happy with your progression you can back up a step.  Some of us have more swelling than others and moving to the next step upsets our stomachs.  It is OK to take longer if your stomach needs it.  Progress at your own rate.
