Are breakfast tacos a Texas thing?????

Years ago I was in San Antonio (SIL is from there) her dad raved about breakfast tacos..... I'm like OK....

So one night.... after a late nite deal (a bit who who)..... we were headed to Taco Cabana???.... if I remember correctly????

Never ever seen this before..... 2AM and a "Double Drive Through"...... packed..... wedged.....a lot of Yee Ha goin on and the preferred food was Breakfast Tacos.....

They were good......

Yep, it's a Texas thing for sure.  I LOVE me some breakfast tacos.  I make them at home a lot on the weekend.  Eggs, cheese, turkey sausage, a little hot sauce...not bad on protein...my family wraps it in the tortilla and i just put it in a bowl - YUMMY!

Ooohh... breakfast tacos are da bomb! Yes, it's kind of like donuts for the rest of the world, I guess. LOL. I'd never seen one before we moved here 15 years ago. I blame at least 50 of the pounds I gained on those freaking things.

Taco Cabana is good, fast food. We make them at home most times or head to Rudy's or something here. But yeah, a Texas thing for sure.

What?  Breakfast tacos are better than Round Rock donuts in TX?  I think my husband's family would have a hard time choosing!

Rudys!  That's usually the first stop we make when we come into Austin.   When it gets closer to Christmas, I'll be checking for any new recommendations!

I'm a freak. I don't like RR Donuts. I'd much rather have Krispey Kreme. LOL. Or a breakfast taco :)

Good for you Candy!  It looks like you've got this.  I understand your trepidation, but know that you ARE different now.  Embrace that and do what you need to do, but have a little fun too.  You can approach this place with a new outlook and enjoy what is there, but on your terms!  Way to go with the attitude shift!

This is such an important post, Candy. I think we spend all of out "dieting life" struggling with - how will we resist our demons in the future....we probably can't....never have before....and then the cycle begins again. We don't resist and we gain the weight back.

So for you to find yourself in a different place now is such a gift. It IS different. That is a major WOW!

Happy trails.

Annie
