Drippy nose, seemingly at random? (Five days out.)

Something I just noticed in the last day or so is that every so often my nose will just start to drip-drip-drip. Just a little clear fluid, nothing at all like when I have a cold. Not enough to justify blowing my nose; I dab it up with some Kleenex and then it's done until next time. Is this a post-surgery thing or probably unrelated? Am I dying of pneumonia?

I've heard some folks experience a runny nose as a "soft stop" signaling they need to stop eating, but I'm nowhere near actual food yet.

I've never experienced anything like this before and since I'm still so "fresh" from surgery I'm assuming EVERYTHING is surgery-related. Thoughts?

Are you having fluids and clear soups and broth though? You are still putting food in your tummy, even if it is liquid, so maybe that's your sign too. I had the odd hiccup in the early days, but nothing anymore

Actually, yeah, I guess that makes sense. I didn't really have anything other than water the first couple days and now that I'm reintroducing Jell-O and broth, I'm getting the drips. Interesting! I don't think I'll mind having an extra "okay, stop now pls" signal to work with. Ha!

Thanks!

For the first two weeks my nose dripped constantly! I felt like an 80 year old with their hankie! I am 4 weeks out now and it has slowed down a lot.

That is my signal for you've had enough for now and it started the first week with liquids. I do appreciate the signal. Good Luck!
