Dear God, Candy...I started my period today and I'm a blubbering mess at work now, thanks to you!! LOL. Seriously...I can relate on many levels, had an effed up childhood, etc. and your story moves me. We took a long detour..maybe because of the ****storm we grew up in and are now becoming the women we were meant to be all along. You are amazing. Thanks for reaching back and lending a hand to those of us behind you. I am trying to do the same. What a beautiful journey this is, so glad to be on it with people like you.

Some of the strongest, most emotionally real people I know have survived horrible childhood stories. I can now count you among this group. You did break the cycle and started a new pattern for your family and your descendent. Your heroic efforts paved the way for future generation. You are the lynch pin in a whole new direction.

Happy anniversary and I loved reading your story. Thank you for sharing your strength, truth and inspiration with the rest of us. You are a terrific role model and your life story is quite powerful. Hugs and have a great trip.

Candy, your post literally brought me to tears. You have been through so much yet your life thrives & so does your family. I hope you realize what an amazing person you really are. It takes a lot of strength & determination to overcome what you did. You are showing many of us that your hopes & dreams can & will come true if you really want it & are willing to put in the work.
