I do NOT want that cookie... why is it in my house?!?!?

No, I totally get that. I won't give the extra calories for something that tastes like crap. There's VERY few store bought cookies that are worth it. Pastries are my REAL downfall. Once per month, I get REAL cream horns and split one with my daughter. THAT is worth it (and keeps me from eating a bunch of crappy cookies, I guess LOL)

I love those butter cookies. They are NOT nasty. Not worth going off the cliff over, mind you.

You are stronger than the cookie. You are stronger than the cookie. You are stronger than the cookie.

No really. You are.

Didn't eat the nasty cookie (seriously, gimme a good soft homemade oatmeal raisin or peanut butter cookie!). Made hubby take them into his office so I didn't walk by them. Stupid cookies. I know I'll be eating pie at 2 celebrations (I made sure one had nut pies so I can't eat those - pie is my weakness. I LOVE pie, but I'm allergic to tree nuts and most fruits so unless it's pumpkin or buttermilk or something, I can't have them... kind of helps with that nemesis! LOL)

LOL, I have a tin of those cookies as well. They were left by the company that did my tree removal. I thought it was so thoughtful for them to even do something like that. But like you they aren't tempting to me as I don't really care for the cookie inside. Probably stale anyway! But I did have to have my Mom put away some graham crackers she had on the counter. Grahams don't trigger her and she could walk past them for a month and never notice. I on the other hand sit and obsess over the bag as if it is calling my name and taunting me.... Thankfully she put them away! :-)

It's the silly things... the things that tempt me I just try not to have around at all or make sure they are put away, but why those were bugging me last night... I have NO idea. LOL

I just got in the mail the same cookies from my good friend - i guess because we live in different states and she is perpetually skinny that it didn't sink in that i can't eat cookies. Well I never liked those cookies so I brought them into work.

However, at work is a tray of soft brownies and the carb count is 20g per brownie and its in my direct line of sight and .... must not eat brownie!!!

I know what you mean.  I made a ton of cookies as gifts last weekend.  We have a jar full left for my DH.  They keep calling to me.

And YES - Some of the ones I made are french sables (the damn BUTTER cookies).  I also made shortbread, gingerbread, chocolate sandwich cookies(Baileys Irish Cream butter cream frosting), peppermint bark, and White Chocolate dipped Orange Cranberry Biscotti.

I used a full 4 pounds of butter and 3 pounds of sugar in the baking-  nothing bariatric friendly.

I have been drinking a lot of water when those things call to me.

Dear god, I couldn't live with you guys, I'd gain back SO much weight. LOL! I've banned hubby from making anything I like at this point. Because obviously, I want to eat gross stuff, I can only imagine if we had some of that stuff you made in this house. HOLY CRAP. Mail me some! *laughing* ;)

Yeah, water... jerky... water... jerky.

These last two days I have had every treat known to man pass over my desk.....and directly to my husbands tool box drawer. I have indulged in 3 milano cookies and 1/2 of a turkey Panini. I call this victory.

I have had a steady stream of Starbucks Skinny peppermint Mochas on my desk though.....feels like a treat.

I agree those nasty hard butter cookies are ...well nasty. Somehow they always found my mouth in the past though!

Way to be strong.
