~18 month check up with my surgeon, ramblings
Your message is so true!! I have not done that well with my sleeve. After a few years of not being able to eat much with my band, I kind of went nuts, enjoying that my sleeve let me eat all types of foods.
I finally had to come to grips, and be honest with myself. I have a wonderful tool to aid me in losing weight. My ability to fully embrace this tool and shed the rest of my weight has not been there. I set up an appointment with a therapist that deals in eating disorders. Excuses stink.....I am ready to do the mental work and finally let my sleeve help me get to my goal!
So proud of you and all of your successes!!
Revisions are tough all around. Forgive yourself and move forward - and finding a therapist is an excellent starting point ((HUGS)) You CAN do this.

WWBD?
Yeah, I think I'm more normal than people think, I just admit it. *laughing* ;)
I'm going to get it done... it might take me another year to get these damn 27 pounds off, but they're going to go...

Great job! Thanks for the post. For people who need to lose a LOT of weight (like me), it's inspiring to see that it can actually be done. I've lost 151 lbs. but the weight loss has slowed down tremendously. I didn't lose any weight in November. Now...that could be because I was eating more calories, but I'm not content. I want .... and need to lose more. I know I can do it. I just need to be accountable for what goes into my mouth. Those calories add up FAST! That's why it is so important to be aware of what you're eating. EVERY BITE. Anyway.... Congrats on your terrific story. Good luck to you.
Yes, I know when I started out I looked specifically for folks who were as large as I was... it helped. It sound like you reached about the same place I did at 1 year, so you're going to be fine, I bet :) Do you log? I have to log EVERYTHING into MyFitnessPal or I "Forget" and let things slip too much. Ugh. I've gotten more used to it now, but yeah, sometimes it's annoying :)
