Great ?!!! My bf!! I meet him when I was in the high 280's and today I'm 226. I meet him 2 months after I started looking into ths vsg and I was doing all of my pre op testing. I am surprise he has stood by me during the whole process. I'm 13 wks post op, my hair is falling out and my skin is sagging but he tells me I look good every day. I wasn't looking for romance as I was going through the pre op process and swore off all relationships... But I'm very happy that I got someone supportive in my life.

Well, you know what they say... you always find what you need when you stop looking for what you want, right? Who knows what the future holds, but it sounds like he's a great guy. You're doing amazing, btw! 13 weeks and 50+ pounds!

Thanks!! I've lost 72 pounds so far combining post and pre op weight loss.
I would have to say I'm  grateful for being w/ him for the past 6 months. I think it was a lot on him knowing that I was going through a major life change when I met him.

My momma.  The surgery was her idea...well kind of.  She told me about lap band and how I should have it.  Well after I found OH I found out about the sleeve and went for it.  I used to feel so hurt when she'd talk about my weight.  Now I realize it was only because she was afraid for me and the health issues.  She watched my kids during surgery for two weeks I think.  She came over and cleaned house.  Still my Mom has always been good to me like that.  I couldn't have done it without her.  Than there was the provider I saw for the nutritional visits she was there when my PCP was dragging butt on my paperwork...she did it for me.  She didn't let me give up on the surgery I wanted.

Okay, maybe it's just MY kids, but anyone that would take care of my brats for two weeks deserves a bottle of wine. Or a case. Or something. *laughing*

I love it. Sigh, makes me miss my momma. She lives 1250 miles away :(

Great topic Candy....

First everyone has been 100% behind me in this effort.  Initially I was concerned that after the consultation I was unsure how they would react...Much to by pleasant surprise they have been with me and behind me in my efforts.

Last week was my birthday and my one brother called to send his well wishes and asked what I would like for a present. I told him I didn't need anything right now and I am saving for a new wardrobe which is getting desperate now.

So he made a grand announcement. When I get close to my personal goal he will give me $500.00 towards a new Spring wardrobe....I am so excited and can't wait to shop.

I know in the next 6-7 months many changes will occur and I can't wait to get there.

Holy moly! Does your brother want to adopt another sister? I don't have a brother, just two younger sisters, so I would love one. And hey, shopping trips... ;) That's REALLY awesome. I'm so happy for you!

.... and you're really close to onederland I seeeeeee!!!!

My BFFs have been amazing!  They are always asking how I'm doing and send me recipe ideas.  LOVE them!

My parents, aunt, and sister are also great!  They were more concerned in the beginning, but have totally come around.  My parents were there for me after surgery and helped me walk the halls...

Oh, recipe ideas are the BEST. I'm constantly running out of ideas. I don't cook so left to my own devices, I'd probably eat a pouch of tuna every day or a barigoodfood.com meal or something. *laughing*.

Yeah, I think family members mean well being concerned. It was always nerve wracking, but I knew their hearts were in the right place.
