My kids are the 2nd. They've been amazing. My almost 12-year-old lost a bunch of weight and is now a normal BMI. He also always has a hug or a smile or a compliment (he's SUCH his Dad's son in that way I suppose! LOL! Sweet talker!). One of my most fond memories was picking him up at school last year and he ran up, gave me a BIG hug and whispered in my ear "mom, my fingers touch when I hug you now!". My 9 year old daughter is my food sharer and always willing to split a plate when we go out, she also helps me figure out the clothes issues sometimes when I can't tell if something fits - of course, I think she might just like to go shopping because I always buy her something too. *laughing*
3rd are my amazing set of real-life friends. They always ask about me, always tell me I look good, always offer to split something at a restaurant - but most of all.... they just treat me like one of the gang still. They do all of that, but it's more of a normal thing and not a "Candy is special" thing.
... and, of course, you folks here. ((HUGS))

My friends are also seriously awesome. I get nothing but positive reinforcement from all of them.
My mom and my sisters are also supportive and I know my mom is going to freak when she sees me in November. The last time we were together was pre-surgery.

YES! This would be my hubby... the man sleeps like the dead. I wake up if a strong wind blows, but the house alarm can go off because the dog tripped it, I can fall over and break a mirror and the dogs can jump on him and he'd STILL sleep through it.
Not that I'm bitter.
Much.

My kids are #2. My girls are struggling with losing and it is hard on my teenager that I am now a smidge smaller than her, but she is working it like a crazy person and she will get to a normal BMI before long. My son is the one who always tells me I look beautiful(my face cupped in his hands with a huge crooked smile and a sweet whisper). He also can now put his arms around me.
Number 3 would be my Momma and my immediate family. Although they don't say much, they are always supportive and handy with the sincere compliments. I need those.
Number 4 are my two best friends a girl could ever have. They are always there with praise and support of my victories...they have never tired of my "I lost a pound today" stories, they shop with me, they've changed the party food and drink we have for me, and they are my rock and support when I have a bad day. They do it all without asking because they know I WON'T ask.
All this thankfulness makes me want to grab a Kleenex. I couldn't have achieved as much as I have without all these wonderful folks...The people here on OH rock my socks too!
Having folks that can give tough love and a hug when needed are truly invaluable. Thanks for sharing!
