Goal! Serious p/w'ing!
So today was the day. I'm at goal. Lots to gush about, but strangely I wasn't overjoyed, jumping up and down happy being at goal. I sort of just took it in stride - reflective, but happy, too.
For some reason it's sort of nerve wracking. I suppose because the losing part has been filled with great achievements and my self confidence has really gotten a boost and, frankly, I'm comfortable in weight loss mode. Being truly at maintenance is a bit unsettling.
Enough of the introspection! Bah!
Started this journey in April of 2011 totally disgusted with myself and went to Weigh****chers, yet again, weighing in at 268. Lost 20 lbs. then took the summer off to eat. In July 2011 my PCP recommended WLS. Had my first consult on September 9, 2011. Weighed 260 that day. Surgery was December 7, 2011. Weight was 245.
I'm off all meds for BP and cholesterol. I've gone from size XXL shirt to a medium or small. Jeans from a 40/42 to a 30/31. Dress slacks from a 46/48 to a 30/32. Jacket from a 48 portly cut to a 39 or 40 slim fit.
BMI - 42 to 26.6
(yes, technically I'm still overweight! F the BMI chart!)
Body Fat - over 35% to 18.6%
98 pounds lost.
Love my sleeve and what it's taught me!
Would I do it again? Do you even need to ask?
IN A FRIGGIN" HEARTBEAT!!!!
And now for the Photo Whoring!
This was my standard outfit. Jeans and a very big shirt. The only clothes I have left from pre VSG. I will keep them always.
I used to spill out of these pants and this is about where I had to wear them because my belly didn't fit within the waist.
It's scary that I used to fill those out and ooze over the edge! Plenty of room in there now!
Today wearing my goal jeans (30 inch waist Lucky Brand jeans) and a small Tee.

Holy crap, I knew you were working out and getting lean & strong, but man, even my husband remarked about those arms! Looking more than fine (everywhere.)
Be introspective! If you weren't a little unsettled I think several of us may be a little concerned. sliding out of loss mode and into the rest of your life mode is a bit disconcerting in a lot of ways.
