Oh Kelly, I am SOOOOO right there with ya.

I know I had an allergic reaction to the draping and the tape they used in surgery, but that rash has mostly cleared up.  Now my entire body itches.  I am going thru tons of Benadryl and hydrocortizone cream.  I am at a lost as to what to do or what is causing this intense itching.  I wake myself up itching at night, and now I've got tons of scabs and gross sores.  Ugh!!!

My skin turned red and now it has cleared up some but I'm peeling as if I was sunburned... And I'm light skin black female.... It looked like I was beaten up it looked bad once I was home...

Had mine on 6-11 and I'm still itching!

My skin seems dry.  I'm sure part of it is that I'm still kind of dehydrated.  The incisions still itch sometimes too.

I had an allergic reaction to the steri-strips used. I needed to have topical prescription cortisone cream, and then an oral antibiotic for the secondary infection from the itching. And I pulled the steri-strips off after only 8 days. Fortunately, they didn't split out!

That you had soles/palms itching and blistered peeling skin, you had a big time allergic reaction. Sounds like a reaction to a systemic drug, not a topical drug.

Definitely see your PCP for evaluation of your scabs/etc---you may need systemic drugs for potential secondary infection as well. Mine accepted pictures from my phone (it was a weekend, and not ER emergent, but gosh darn important to me!)There are stronger things than Benadryl (diphenhydramine).
