I can't say anything about that website itself. But, I went to Mexico for my surgery 16 March 2012. My surgeon was Dr Aceves. There are plenty of people on the board who've gone to other surgeons as well.

I went to Aceves June 24. Great experience!  Have a friend there who had surgery yesterday.  He is doing great and amazed at how well run it is.

Happy to chat with you if you want more info.

You don't want plication...my doc does it (in Mexico) and every time I go there I run into people whose stomachs become unfolded or who are unhappy with the weight loss, as in they did not lose much weight.

Hi Angela - what's plication?  I never heard of that?

Sleeve plication is where they fold the stomach over on itself a few times and stitch it in place to resemble the banana shape of the VSG...it does not have great preliminary stats. I believe my doc in Mexico is part of a study on it--I feel people hear "reversible" and they jump on it...look at the damn band. Scar tissue galore and nothing but problems, for me. I kid you not, when I had my revision to VSG and then last month when I went with my sister for her VSG, there were people having to have their plications re-sewn due to it opening up like an ice cream cone and very unsatisfactory weight loss...

I agree with Angela, you do not want plication.  I was self pay and went to Dr. Joya in Mexico for my VSG and have had excellent results.  Please do more research before you make a decision.

There are many happy people with Dr. Aceves. Although I never looked much into the plication, I have heard some pretty negative feedback on it. Mostly having to do with the stomach stretching and unfolding, smaller stomach with ghrelin hormone still working, and issues with the scar tissue. Look up side effects, or negatives of the plication, and see what you can find before you make your decision. All surgeries have risks and down sides, but this one is not commonly practiced for many reasons. It may seem less invasive and reversible, but once the scar tissue grows, it permanently joins the folded stomach anyway. Best advice is to do lots of research on all the good and bad of each surgery before you chose which one works for you.

This is the group I went thru when I had my surgery in Mexico...www.beliteweight.com. They will assist you in any financing if you need that as well. My doctor is Jose Rodriguez and my surgery was done at Star Medica in Juarez. Check out the website and see if this is something you're looking for as well.

Good luck and happy hunting!
