Champva??

Wow, no I just did my nutrition consult, psych eval, stress test, sleep study and EGD last week.  How long did it take you to get to this point, what was your process did you have to anything else that I haven't done yet....oh, I have so many questions.  I will probably worry the heck out of you because not many people have ChampVA Insurance.

Also, I was told that ChampVA did not require the 6 months of Drs. visits or weight monitoring.  I saw on another post that you responded to that you were just finishing your sixth month.  Please tell me that you are using another insurance and they required that.  If not I have wasted two months because I was told it wasn't a requirement.  Getting a little bummed.

I have CHAMPVA, the only requirement they had was that since I had no comorbidities that I had to have a 40 BMI or higher. They covered it without a problem and I did not have to do a supervised diet. I am now getting ready to have a revision due to a complication and they are covering it as well. I have never had a problem with CHAMPVA if you don't understand something or if it seems that the Drs staff is unaware of what is required or not it is best to talk with CHAMPVA

Have you had the revision done yet?  I am looking into it now.  What kinds of hoops did you have to go through before it can be scheduled?  I am having to change doctors b/c my first on did the band.  I keep putting it off due to not having my pre and post op paperwork from my previous doctor.  

I was just approved for ChampVa coverage. I'm looking for anyone who can advise what their patient portion was. 25%? 75% I've seen a few vague references but nothing specific. I appreciate any information so I can start my plan of action.
