What do I order at an Italian Restaurant?

I order the mussels either marinara or in a broth.  They are yummy and quite light on the calories, while giving you much needed protein.

I don't do any kind of sauces, too many calories that add up way to fast. I usually get a grilled chicken breast over salad and ask for the dressing (light if they have it) on the side. Or I will order meatballs, sauce on the side. If I am with people I don't want asking questions about my food I order a meatball sandwhich, and then just eat the meatballs out of the sub with a knife and fork and cut up/move the bread around so it looks like I ate some LOL

I would love to have chicken again but it hasn't sit well with my tummy since after surgery so I stay away from the birds (chicken, turkey, etc). So it's beef and pork for me...

Man I miss chicken...

I generally get Caprese Salad at italian restaurants. You can't go wrong with Fresh Mozzarella cheese, basil, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.

That does sound good!  I went with the cacciatore and it was really good.  And I brought home enough for 2-3 more meals!  Thanks everyone!

You can always order off menu - ask for a grilled chicken breast, etc.  Avoid the pasta, anything breaded, and the sauces.  Those are calories that you don't need with way too little protein.
