Obviously, I have to pack my lunch for work everyday but I'm running low on ideas.  Variety is the spice of life but not mine right now...

Here is what I've been eating:
Tuna Salad w/ crackers
Lunchmeat w/ Wheat thins
Chicken nuggets (nuked; not fried)
Cheese Sticks
Cottage Cheese

I need some more ideas?

Where are you at in your eating plan - pureed or soft foods or regular food?  I see your surgery date and the soft food, but with crackers too.

I am still on soft foods but can have whole wheat toast and crackers.  Is that unusual?  I'm just going by the general guidelines that my doctor gave me and so far I've been able to tolerate everything.  I haven't been sick once since coming home from the hospital.

Sunday will be six weeks for me so at that point I can start eating anything (within reason) right?  I go back for my 6-week follow-up on Wednesday next week so I guess I'll get some clarification then.

Nah, that's not that unusual - different surgeons have different guidelines.  And if you can tolerate it and losing at a good rate, that's great!  I would just suggest to watch your carbs.  My personal daily guidelines are 600-800 calories, less than 20 carbs a day (net) which I get in mostly by vegetables, flax seed, and greek yogurt,  and at least 80 grams protein (but I exercise a good bit so I try to get in 100g).

I had to introduce new foods slowly when moving from phase to phase, I wanted to make sure I gave my new stomach time to adjust to new things.

Greek Yogurt
Hummus
pureed broccoli and cheese (green giant freezer ones work well)
lite laughing Cow cheese wedges

You are pretty early on, are you still doing at least one protein shake a day?

Not sure what stage you are at right now. I was on soft food for 6 weeks.

Love hummus...gotta get some!  Broccolli and cheese...great idea!  Yes, I'm still drinking 1 Premier shake a day.  Sunday will be the end of my six weeks.

Id personally ditch the crackers/chicken nuggets, but that's just me.

See the daily thread of what people are eating - you might get some good ideas.

For me - over the last year, some of the things ive brought (and some require pre-cooking/planning)

- tuna
- turkey meat balls
- rotisserie chicken (just take a whole one, put 2-3 oz in little bags, and ive got lunch and dinner for a while)
- plain chicken, and lots of different flavored chicken. sometimes I'll go to a greek restaurant and get a simple chicken kabob and cut it up/package it)
- cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs, scrambled egg whites, egg white muffins
- different cuts/types of beef, usually mixed with a few veggies
- ground turkey w/sauce of some kind - my favorite is sloppy joe sauce
- fish - i buy little 80 cal filets that are pre-seasoned and easy to heat up in the microwave
- morning star burgers - love the pizza, turkey, and spicy black bean burgers (and im not even a vegetarian)
- protein shakes

Just curious...why ditch the crackers/nuggets?  Looking at the labels they seem to be good choices...or at least I thought???  :)

Thanks for the other great ideas...definitely gonna try some of them!

I agree with Alison. Chicken nuggets and crackers are typically high carb , not much protein and doesn't offer much nutritional content . I prefer to spend my calories on protein rather than carbs.
